1988 Topps Football Stickers variations

I know from my Marcus Allen raw player set that the 1988 Topps Stickers come in several varieties as far as the player on the StickerBack. And in turn, each StickerBack is available with several different Stickers on the front. I’m 99% sure that these varieties are finite, e.g. the Allen Sticker is available with 4 different StickerBacks, and the Allen StickerBack is available with 13 different Stickers on the front. I’m reasonably sure of this because I’ve seen hundreds of both and they all are one of these varieties, and I’ve confirmed with other Allen collectors, and I have not seen a new variety in many years.

So, my question is, are any of you aware of attempts to catalog all printed Sticker/StickerBack combinations for the entire set? I’ve decided to try to do just that, and fortunately for me unopened material is cheap. I figure if the variety of combinations is similar throughout the set, there are roughly 650-900 varieties, and likely around 775. I just ordered a 24-box case, which should yield 6-9 master sets assuming perfect collation. I doubt this is a large enough sample to be confident of a complete checklist, which is why I want to know if anyone else has tried this.

That's quite a challenge that you have ahead of you. I am collecting the Dan Marino master set and I don't care what the combination is as long as I have one sticker back and one regular sticker in my set. Speaking of that, I'd be interested in all high grade Marino stickers that you pull. Please let me know.
