help with ebay item...

Hi again I posted looking for a nice metal detector and was directed to a garrett model and seem to think the brand name is ok... I am currently looking at one on ebay it is a gta 1000 with crossfire. it ends in 4 hours and I would appreciate from you experts what is a max bid I should place on this item?

    Not really sure of the "Street Price" for that model. I know you are mainly looking for yard/field hunting machine. If your main interest is coinshooting it should do just fine. From what I can tell it's a very "watered down" version of a GTI (Garretts top line). It likely has slower processing speed than the GTI series which has updated electronics from the GTAX series.

    Well for the good or bad I did buy it... hopefully it will be a new fun hobby for me to compliment my coin collecting. Will post after I receive it and find my fortune.....
