What kind of "SURPRISES" are in store when the guide is updated to 2006?

to my knowledge the "price guides" are fairly regularly updated ( especially with the contest going on) so I don't understand when you say updated for for 2006. I get shocked every couple of weeks or so

How good is a price guide that list coins as having a lower value than the PCGS grading fee.
Rant over.
Never have been able to figure out where they get prices for newer coins. Not what they sell for on ebay or any where else.

Commemoratives should sky-rocket in value... or perhaps that's just what I'm hoping for with the issues that I already have.
