gold ducat on ebay question

Greetings,

I was looking at auction @ 8422791474.
It is for a 1915 ducat with over one ounce of gold.
I thought they only had a little over 1/10? maybe, I am wrong!!!
Is this another scam?
Thanks,
Bruce

they have the decimal point in the wrong place. they say over an ounce of 22k gold. these are 0.1106 oz.

As some of you have noted, the seller has the decimal point in the wrong place.
Someone not knowledgeable of this coin may think he's getting some bargain gold, and get the shaft instead.
This coin is between a nickle and a quarter in diameter, and quite thin.

  • I sent him an email and he said sorry for confusion, its the size of a nickel, and hes only repeating what his father told him. Its in a tamper proof container.

I guess, hes sure its over one ounce. I hope somebody isn't upset if they buy it for 500.00
  • Let's see:

$9.80 for Media Mail. Insured it could not be more than $7 by Priority Mail
Tag on holder is typed incorrectly. Not 1.106 oz of gold.
grandparents got the coin in "Ausiria" so it is really and Ausirian coin.
Lovingly placed in a holder CROOKED! Probably handled with bare hands.

Okay. I'd write the seller, but that usually only gets me a "Well, if you don't like it, don't bid!" from them.

My first thought was....over an ounce of gold ???? That must be a huge slab....

Looks like his decimal is in the wrong place for his insurance fee too. $21. What a twit.
