okay... I got it... Philippines is incorrect.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

  • Nothing instills more confidence in third party grading services than examples like this. Although as an aside, I believe you own a very rare NGC Capped Bust over Draped Bust half?

Sorry for the bad news folks, but that is not an error. "Filipinas" is the correct spelling for the country in Spanish/Filipino. The U.S. administration at the time decided to use this spelling, rather than English, to appease the local population. One of the intersting facts about the USPI series is that they are bilingual (Spanish/Filipino on the obverse and English on the reverse).

    Good try though! image

    FilamCoins......

    Check out the label.

The error is not with the coin.

This is a case of buy the plastic, not the coin.

Austria and Australia two different Countries...............but now I'm really confused, not knowing foreign coinage that well and history/geography were never my strong suite, isn't a Crown from Great Britain ?

So I would have to say that yes you indeed have an "error" slab.

Can some Brits enlighten this German, please.
