I posted this a few weeks back after finding at a small local show.
Here is what Leroy had to say:
23 P - New VAM 2A. "A nice large unlisted die break on the eagle's left wing! A Top 50 Peace $ that I always thought was a neat spectacular dbld die."
1923 P
2A II 2, B2a (Doubled Rays,Die Break Wing) I-2 R-6
Reverse B2a - long die break in middle of eagle's left wing

Tripled designer initials? I am surprised and will have to send some candidates in too of other dates. (Just mailed another box to Leroy an hour or so ago though.) I largely dismissed many as mechanical doubling, which most probably are and may all of mine. But you never know as yours is testament of that.

John, any news on the 21-P yet?
<< <i>Excellent, Randy. The peace die breaks should really take off to with the new edition of the Top-50 guide later this year. Jeff said particular attention was being made to them. >>
Cool discovery! We'll see how it stands up against others for the 2006 "Discovery of the Year" award. The next iteration of the Top 50 guide will probably increase coverage of die stages of these die break coins. As always, more information about these coins will lead to more attention being paid to them.

Norm, that was someone else's 21-P. However, I doo have a 21-P out to him with die filing lines from the denticles. There some really cool ones in this box, one in particular, but we'll wait to hear back from Leroy. -- John C

Thanks John. Terry/MAD4MORGANS informed me that my 21-P is a 3W. Good luck with your stuff!
