Newbe ? Is this a 43 DD. I have always collected the odd looking coins. The D and the 4 show well and the 3 has it as well, but not in this sorry scan. Thanks for any help. Sorry for the bad scan!!

Abraded die doubling. Very common. Happened because they were minting steel coins using steel dies. Didn't work out well, and wore the dies very quickly.

I have a coin with exactly the same attributes, I have it labeled Die deterioration doubling - replated .
