your typical ebay shyster might make such claims, but not a chance on earth.
  • Not a key date for a nickel, not a key date for any other US coin AFAIK
What do you think, Mr. Bigglesworth?

Based on people stating this on Ebay... .......

    Anyway..

Is thiswhy the price of a bank box of nickels is so high?
"Remember, less than 1450 of these coins have been certified" Does this mean that there are 1450 known DDO's??

Westward Journey Bag Collectors are crying out for this particular issue - so yes, I suppose it is a key date - for Bag Collectors.

I'd take a shot since its in a PCGS slab. His picture looks like it doubled everything though, including the slab image
  • Sheesh.

    So its a key bag?

    Sheesh.
  • Popularity has as much to do with price. If they made 100,000,000 but 500,000,000 people want it the price will be higher. Especially when the actual number of good higher MS PCGS slabbed coins are much lower. Those slabbed coins are going to get a premium for the people interested in the item. There really are not that many MS65-MS66 PCGS peace nickels. It does not take that much interest to get a good price. Or at least more than it cost to get it slabbed image I don't see it too much out of line getting a good $50 or so for MS65 in a few years.

This is most definitely a key nickel bag - better get in now. When PCGS starts encapsulating these bags - the price will enter a very high earth orbit.

All that I know is that people are paying $70 to $80 for a p+d mint wrapped roll set.

So as long as they are paying way to much for it, it is key in my book. I wish I had 1-200 sets then I could afford some really cool coins.

I got exactly 1 US Mint issued roll set of these nickels - too bad - wish I had about 100. Then I'd be excited. Too much trouble listing 1 set on eBay - then packing etc.

  • It cost me about $100 for all 12 uncirculated rolls (6 designs, both P&D).
