Lithuanian coins

I was looking to put togather a set of coins from Lithuania.
I was thinking in the 20's or 30's. I see stuff on e-bay from
like 1925, 1935-38. All circulated. I would like uncirculated
and was wondering if someone can give some pointers on
a date to pick or pricing. Even a couple reputable websites
I could trust would be a great start.
Thanks Joe

Karl Stephens sometimes has Lithuanian stuff. I seem to remember his most recent price list had one or two in unc. Give him a call, he's one of the most highly regarded world coin dealers.

  • Well a year and a half later and I have my set of coins. I am also working to upgrade some of these. I plan to send them in to be graded. Mostly for protection so people can handle them. Any comments on grades I should receive or on the coins in general?
    Thanks Joe

The photography makes it hard to grade the minor coins. A few of the silver ones are stunners -- especially the 5 Litai dated 1925 and 1936, and the 10 Litu dated 1938. Nice work!
