What Modern's to look for in a Type Collection

Suppose you were to construct a Type Collection that started with colonial coinage and extended up to and including moderns. What would be REALLY nice to have in a type collection like this. No proofs! All MS. I know nothing about moderns (except Franklins, which I consider modern). What grades, what dates, what kind and whatever I don't even know to ask???!!!

For Kennedys, the 1976-S in MS67. Nice one year type and plentiful in that grade.
