They called twice and left messages on the voicemail. Said they wanted to give me advice on items that did not sell. But I did not have any items which did not sell!!
They addressed me in the voicemail by name and IDed my eBay account name. So I guess it's legit?
Here's what's baffling, they tell people they will only contact us by mail or by eBay message system and always address us by name. They never say anything about telephone!!

goto this website, and pop in the first 6 digits.
it will tell you what city the call came from, plus state of course.
i am curious.
My wife told me that eBay called for me while I was at work eariler this week, they wanted to offer me some sort of upgrade. She just said not interested and hung up

When they ask if it is a good time to talk I usually say no and ask if they can just say it in an e-mail. They have complied every time.
While annoying, these are the only legit phone calls I know of from e-bay.
<< <i>Fc, my caller ID showed "unknown caller" as is the case 90% of the time. CallerID is a scam and it's now bundled with call waiting/forwarding so we have it. >>
They call my cell phone and it at least gives a number and everytime I get a call from that area code it is them. I can't ignore because they keep calling back until they get a response, which is why I mentioned previously I make it quick and say to send an e-mail instead.
<< <i>All this eBay stuff is starting to creep me out. >>
Trust me, it's much creepier when some sexy-sounding chic from Blue Moon Coins calls you!
