A few days ago I sold off $200,000 worth of platinum bullion and bought the entire available pop of PR69DCAM 1964 Kennedys. The coin was sitting at $3K and the last Heritage sale went off at over $3700. Coin went up $250 today. Woo hoo! Another $15,500 in the kitty!

Maybe I'm being dense, but I cannot follow the math. You sold $200,000 worth of platinum, at a profit of around $15,000? Then you bought the only PR69DCAM 1964 Kennedy for $3,700? And then the coin subsequently went up by $250. Do I have that right?

Forgot that you were talking about the competition. I guess my co-workers can put the defibulators away now and stop pounding on my chest.image

He invested $200,000 by buying all of the PR69DCAM 1964 Kennedy's available. He got the original 200K by selling his platinum. The 1964 PR69DCAM Kennedy's went up in price by $250 per coin. That means he purchased 60 of these coins for a total profit of $15,000

No. I sold the platinum, (I already had a profit in it), in order to buy the Kennedys at $3000 each. The last one to sell brought over $3700 so I figured the price guide would be adjusting upward. It just did. It's now at $3250, so I garnered a $250 profit per coin times the 62 coins I bought.

OK. I understand. How will you go about the Well-Managed Liquidation in order to keep the price propped up?

If I had that kind of money laying around I sure wouldn't waste it buying Kennedys. image

I had the same reaction. I was about to leave education for good and get into the computer biz.
