I tried to buy this coin out of the Reiver Sale but was unsuccessful.
However, I was able to do a trade for it recently and here it is.
Boy am I happy...the Heritage pics didn't do the coin justice.

Very nice looking quarter. I am getting to be very interested in the bust quarters, but those are very difficult to find.

I agree really nice. However, I've heard the reason they are so difficult to find is the Mint stopped making them.

And I was hoping that Alaska or Hawaii would choose that design for their state quarter in 2008.
<< <i>That's a beauty. Nice pick-up. Did you have to pay much of a premium to the auction sales price with your trade? I am always interested in learning how documented auction coins fare in the open market after the auction. >>
RYK...I picked it up for what it brought at auction or very close to it. It's a little harder to figure when a trade is involved.

Man, I wish I had an 1818 Bust Quarter.
Nice quarter!
Your pictures show a beautiful coin, while Heritage showed, well, not much.
I like it!
Congrats on the excellent pick-up
Thanks for sharing!
