The Ebay gods smiled on me. :)

Got a pair of itty bitty coppers in the mail today. I had gambled on these, since they were being sold by an antiques dealer rather than a regular coin dealer, so I wasn't sure what I would get. I wasn't able to BIN these and had to anxiously let the auctions play out... which is just as well, since I got both coins for a fair amount less than my max bid.

Someone took a bath on these, as they were still in their original priced holders, one from Staples Numismatics, and one from Karl Stephens.

I only have the auction pics, as my camera is being finicky at the moment. The coins in hand are much brighter than the pics, and the 1/3 farthing is extremely lustrous.

I'm probably going to send both into NGC.

Great Britain Farthing, 1806. Very nice RB. I'm guessing MS63-64. With shipping I paid $33.

Great Britain 1/3 Farthing, 1827. Very attractive and lustrous red-purple. I'm guessing MS62. With shipping I paid $47. MUCH nicer than the auction pic.
