Grrr...see what I get for collecting the plastic....

Only 5 of my SBA's are full talons. image

Added which ones are in the comments section.

I suppose I have to hit the SBA auctions again now image

I'm assuming the talons should be fully separate at 10x magnification.

If it was easy, where's the fun?

Is full talons a new designation? to be?

Well, even if it doesn't become a designation, I can see full talons playing a part in slab prices already.

Full Talons was written about in this months Numismatist.

It is not an accepted designation by any of the TPG services at this time. It is however, a very obvious characteristic of the SBA, that can make the series much more challenging in high grade.

It requires 6 fully separated toes at 5X magnification (by my criteria).

I go more by eye appeal myself. If they look nice who cares.

It's like bands on dimes. I'm more interested in the hair detail on the obv. And the overall look of the coin.
