Clashed Dies common?

I went to a coin dealer yesterday and remember seeing a 1875 dime with a major clashed die-when looking at the obverse, you could easily see the entire reverse showing through on the obverse. Are clashed dies very common?

Yes on seated dimes and half dimes.
I think it is more common on the rev.

You will certainly see others. yet, still, I'd pick it up if the price was right.

If I remember correctly, they wanted $25 for it? I am not real sure? At this particular dealer though, it was the ONLY thing of interest to me. Everything else was either holed, cleaned, or damaged beyond recognition.
