"FLAWLESS TO THE EYE----THEY APPEAR TO BE SILVER PROOFS."

    What does that statement mean?

I don't know a whole lot about state quarters or modern Proofs in PCGS plastic. Can you educate me on why this is a good deal? If we were talking early Federal silver, then I would have a basis to comment...

It's a decent deal, but it isn't a screaming rip. Saved $10 or so on the group.

  • They sell individually for $15-$25 with an average of $20each which would be $100. To tell the truth anyone on ebay that gets $15ea had some bad luck. Even the same person has other "Buy Now" auctions for the same thing at $75. Most group sets are in the 80's or 90's. So yes getting them nearly half of the worst case scenario ebay sale is an awsome deal.

#1 is from the same seller that had horrible representation. The others had overly low buy it now prices.

This is abour right and what you would expect selling them individually with bidding.

Those prices are more in line with the clad sets not the silver ones.

They are doing it all the time. Check out the last link you gave me and read the similar items sold on the same page. I've been monitoring for some time. Pretty much any state quarter sold on there in silver and PCGS will bring $20ea with standard auctions. Even raw or crappy slabbing gets $10-$15 and they sell.

So, are these more valuable than the NGC sets? NGC has that nice-looking multicoin holder that houses the entire set, right?
