last year? Just a few months ago I could get some really good deals on ebay, now even the crap is going for 3x its worth. But I guess its worth is relative to what someone is willing to pay. I think its time to sell.

Baley, I completely agree. I saw the post yesterday with the desktop wallpaper with all of the toned Indian Cents and I began to drool.
I'll definately be keeping my eye out for these!

Extremely wife words that also pertain to other types of coins as well. This forum has a lot more influence on the world of numifmatics than some folks realize.

Yes, I too have felt this.

Barber halves have gotten to the point of being priced out of reach for most collectors in grades VF20-AU58.

Gem material in SLQ's is skyrocketing as related to me by a new "up-and-comer" who is agressivly pursuing a gem FH set of SLQ's.

Long Beach's four major auctions should prove interesting. Goldberg, Superior, Bowers & Merena and Heritage all have a few coins I like, but there's not money to spread around.............

There is no doubt that pq coins, with original toning are scarce to the point that
multiples of current bid are neccessary to capture them.

This has been my lowest buying year since 1999. 5 coins total. And I have been underbidder on only 5 more.

I think Long Beach will be a great opportunity to get a few more, but the prices will be high.
