1900-O/CC Morgan Top-100 question

What does the Top-100 designation mean? I see it on slabs, but don't have a clue.

There are several tiers of top numeration. They have to do with the type of coin, VAM and where they place at in a "sought after" grouping.

There is a book by Jeff Oxman and Micheal Fey that is called "The Top 100 Morgan Dollar Varieties: The VAM Keys". This coin is one of the VAMs they picked to be in this book.

A grouping of coins set forth by two early VAM masters who felt this grouping of coins would provide an interesting and challenging endeavor for other VAM collectors. There is now the Top 100 Morgans, Hot 50 Morgans and the Top 50 Peace. Other specialty books have come out, creating interest in some of the less traveled areas of VAMs. There is a book on 1921-D Morgans, 1879, rev of 78 book, a B1 rev book (7/8 TF and B1 rev VAMs), the Clashed Die Morgan book, the 8TF book and there are rumors of a 7TF & 78-S books on the horizon.
