Haze

Recently sent some peace dollars in to be graded ( not PCGS) and they were from an original roll, also sent in morgans. All the peace dollars came back graded ms65 & 66 but all had light haze. Coins shipped in coin bags and in vinyl pcv free flips. Anybody have any idea how the haze got there? they were sgipped in 2 seperate shipments. Thanks

    Sounds pretty simple.....

    Exposure at your location...

    or...

    Exposure in transit...

    or...

    Exposure at the Certifying company....

You'll probably never know which it was, or to what they were exposed to!

shipped in pcgs polybags and inserted in flip?

the polybags I used to use from pcgs did this to all silver i submitted, I have since stopped using the bags. Ask Russ, I believe he has info on this.

PCGS recommended not using the poly bags for proof coins, but I've never heard that business strikes could be affected by them.
