where'd you get your loupe?

Looking for a good loupe, prolly a Zeiss 3x 6x - 9x just because I like to be flashy,
but having problems finding an on-line retailer for them (that doesn't look like a questionable retailer).

didn't find any on the 'bay..

I have the 9870-B and it is very nice.

I also purchased the 9870-SP when it was $120.
  • You can get one at Northern Nevada Coin. They're reliable. I've bought a couple Morgans from them. I use an old Harris 10X though...

There is a guy that walks the floor at Long Beach named Joel Somethingorother that I 've bought all my loupes from. His proces are reasonable, and he usually has good stuff.

I bought my Zeiss 3x6x-9x from (I believe) Arnie Margolis at the FUN Show last year. I did not know him, but was introduced to him by a mutual friend. I understand that he is something like the US distributor for Zeiss. He actually let me take the Zeiss loupe onto the bourse floor and use it for a day to decide. I reminded him that he did not know me, but he was not concerned. What a sales tool that was. After using it for a few hours I was completely sold, tracked him down on the bourse floor and bought it.

I just got my loupe today from nevada and can i say....

    image (wow)

picked up the D36 and it is by far the best, clearest and largest view area of it's type Ive ever seen. (and I haven't seen much, I admit!)

Highly recommend the Zeiss if you can swing the amount.
