Dave and Adams card world

I just placed my first order with them for several pieces of unopened product. Anyone else have any experiences to share good or bad, especially with thier unopened material? I usually order from BBC Exchange, but Steve was out of what I wanted this time so I thought I would give someone else a try.

I have purchased several 81 Topps Baseball boxes from D&A. Everything went great for me.
  • I live about an hour from them and have both bought and sold with them. Never a problem.

Ive purchased from them a few times. Prices are a bit steep, but good quality and no problems if you find what you are looking for.

Thanks guys , Glad to hear it ! I figured they were pretty good. I think I got some pretty decent prices too, Some of the stuff was actually cheaper than BBC Exchange.
The kicker is I get free shipping because I ordered over $150 dollars worth of stuff, I ordered a three box rack case of 86 topps which would have been around $10 for shipping alone.
Get ready for some great rips soon !

    My order:
    1 86 Topps 3-box rack case
1 1977 topps Baseball rack pack
5 81 topps Baseball rack packs

I purchased a searched 1985 Topps vending box from them a year or so ago. When I called to complain, I was told by a young girl on the phone that no refunds were available "just because I didn't like the cards I got". Whoa - I asked to speak to someone else, and then explained to the new rep that I knew quite well that the vending box was searched (500 cards, not one major, minor, or any other notable card was in there, simply 500 commons, and there was no vending "pattern" when the box was first opened) - and he gave me a refund, but with an attitude.

that topps quote is correct....their president made some sort of comment that dave and adams was creating a walmart atmosphere for sportscards. They were hurting topps prices because they undercut all the other dealers, and then due to the quantities they purchased entitled them to pretty much buy as much of the limited stuff from topps they wanted.

I thought it was a pretty weak statement. Basically just an attempt by topps to artificially inflate the prices of their garbage products...in order to convince small dealers to buy more of it, while allowing them to dangle more of the premium stuff the small dealers ordinarily wouldn't be entitled to.

  • I've only had one problem with them. I purchased a 1978 Topps cello box from them and it had a few 1977 packs. I called them and they offered to replace the 77's with 78's or give me a cash refund for the 77's. I took the refund and sent the 77's back to them. Other than that, I've had no problems at all. I purchased several 2001 Donruss Signature boxes from them as well as other wax and vending with no problems to speak of. image

Sorry, but 4 years later I still won't spend a dime with them. They pulled E-Bay auctions when they didn't realize the price they wanted, and I have a long memory. I refuse to do business with people that operate like that, just the principal of it all.

i sure hope they dont ship my 86 topps case in the same box with the loose racks. can you imagine the damage a case would do to loose racks? surely they know better. i guess i shouldnt be concerned , i did buy insurance for a whopping $.65 cents.

I bought a couple boxes a year or two ago and the shipping box they were sent in was a little too big and it didnt have quite enough packing material to keep the boxes from rolling around a bit and opening up to spill out a few packs. I havent thought of buying since.
I do know some that have bought recently with no problems however...

    What he said ^ .

I can always find a good deal on hobby boxes that are a couple years old. Usually they are about $20 less than what the boxes were at release time. They could do a better job packing.

At the National last year they had a pretty big setup and had the best prices at the show on mid 80's to modren wax or hobby boxes. I did buy several 83 Topps rack packs that seemed tampered with. Over all I think they are a good place to go for modren cards.

Have only bought 2000+ unopened boxes from them.

Muliple deals. Very low prices. Product always delivered as promised.

A + as far as my deals with them have been concerned ... I would highly recommend them ...
