1970 s (small date) Lincoln

I went to a dealer today and started looking through their coins. One of the coins was marked "1970 s Small Date BU" and they wanted $26 for it. Everything appeared to be correct about the coin but my gut feeling was telling me otherwise. Could someone tell me the difference(s) between the small and large date and how I can correctly distinguish them from one another? Thank you!

    Thank you relayer for your help. After looking at the link you gave, it turns out that what I was looking at was in fact a small date. Before now, I was never absolutely sure on how to tell the difference......but after reading the article that you gave, I feel that I will be better prepared for the next one I come across.
