The GBP is worth USD1.88 as of 5/17/2006 - and its the only currency other that Dollars that I will accept. I am a bit leery of Euros - no past history behind them unlike the Franc, Gulden, Lira, or Mark.

No? Well lets see... there's 16 ounces to the pound, and pounding sand is what I'd like to tell the IRS to go do, and pound cake is overrated, and dogs go to the pound, so the answer is: Tuesday.

I was in my local bank the other day and was surprised to see a sign that said I could purchase pounds, euros or the Canadian dollar. I remember when you had to go to the main branch for a foreign currency window.
  • as it originally stood for "pound sterling" a brittish "pound of sterling" would be worth about $420 US dollars.
    thanks for the chance
  • All I know it is worth more than a dollar 1.83 image

I don't know where you're buying your silver but I think I'd find someplace else.

A pound sterling would be 11.1 oz troy and according to Kitco.com NY silver spot at 12:08 was $12.67, so a pound sterling would be $140.64
You're paying $37.84 an oz. image
