I read this as the price of silver took another downward "correction" today...thoughts? Brought back memories of the Carter Administration...

Actually it reminds me of the price freezes of Nixon only followed by Carter's administration. We are already too far along to stop this in my opinion. Although the Fed has increased rates 16 times in a row, the Congress just won't stop both overspending and undertaxing during a time of war. The result will be major price disruption and economic stagnation due to tight money, and it's probably too late to reverse at this point. The trick for some investors might be knowing when to switch from metal hedges, into high yield long term bonds--that point was around 1979 if I remember with long term yields on Abb bonds at 16+%--with gold/silver stagnating for 20 years thereafter.
