That is, Mop-Up pitcher's duel! image

Texas up 13-12 bottom of ninth. Let's see if at least one Texas pitcher has a good night!!

  • It is so grand to see another Yankee thread, also great to see another hapless Yankee pitching night. Funny how the losers, the Detroit Tigers, now are tied with the best record in baseball, and nobody seems to notice!!!!!!!!

And its great to see another hapless post by a hapless no nothing stooge. Do any of you MORONS who just love any chance to bash the Yankees first check the authenticity of what you are saying? I suggest hockey nut bag sticks to pucks. If he had a fuSking clue he would know that even with the 13 runs the Rangers scored tonight the Yankees still have given up the 2nd fewest runs in the American League and the 4th fewest in the majors.

Unreal how you clowns just jump at EVERY possible opportunity. Like you all live and die by Yankee misfortune at every pitch. Losers image

Hey, my father is a Tiger fan. Go ahead and feel encouraged all you want. Good for them

    But it is this stuff

<< <i> It is so grand to see another Yankee thread, also great to see another hapless Yankee pitching night. >>

that all of you Yankee hating losers do, you all feel the need to report on every little bad happening by the Yankees. Sometimes inning by inning. So don't give me your little sad sack bull$hit about not being able to feel good about the Tigers. You were the clown who felt the Yankees should be chided for another "hapless" pitching performance.

ERRRRRRRRRRRRR I think it is every night regardless if they do good or bad. And not just in yankee threads. Someone <hint> just created a Tigers thread and felt the need to include the Yanks in it. For a guy that is sick and tired of hearing about the yanks 9which you seem to be) you at every chance bring them up.

I don't think so clown boy. NOBODY comes and spouts Yankee cheer night after night. Why don't you post some links to back that up? The only Yankee talk around here are the Yankee fans trying to defend our team from the likes of the board idiots. And it looks like another is born

  • Why do you feel compelled to defend your team? I am from Detroit, I do not defend the Red Wings, the Tigers, the Pistons, or the Lions. Red Wings lost in the first round this year, that sucks, but hey, I saw 3 cups in 10 years, I am content on that, and I am a proud Wings fan, win or lose!!! The Pistons can defend themselves like they do on the court day in and day out, but I can care less about basketball!!! The Tigers, one of the crapiest teams of the last 2 decades almost, but finally, one can feel encouraged about them, and it is great to see that their season is reported about on any angle!!! With the Lions, all I can do is laugh just as much as anyone else laughs, instead of defending them, I will just get drunk and enjoy the high!!!

I do not think too many people would hate the Yankees so much, if most major reporting networks and papers would see, there are teams outside New York, this is what I see in Detroit it seems, on a daily basis:

    Yankee talk
    Steinbrenner talk
    Bonds talk
    Yankee talk again
    Big Unit talk
    Yankee talk again
    BoSox talk
    Bonds talk
    Yankee talk
    Bonds talk
    Mets talk

I think you get the picture

    WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect example of overhyping of everything yankees:

sporscenter, earlier this week, is commenting on all time great streaks, and they bring up the yankees being undefeated in day games this year. WTF?

And yankee 'fans' wonder why people despise the yankees so much?

Nobody said you cant be encouraged by the Tigers you fool. The point was that you cant be excited about your team and leave it at that, you still have to take a crack at the Yankees. Get a damn life. Another hapless pitching night by the Yankees ? You make me laugh. Whether they win, lose, shut out the opponent, or give up 12 runs you still have something to say, instead of just watching your own team, being happy and proud that they are having a great season and have all the promise in the world you have to find a way to get your two cents in about the Yankees. Doesnt it ever get old ? Cry and whine about all the attention they get, and instead of being sick of hearing about them like you profess you cant help come on and leave 6 posts about them. I wish you haters could understand how pathetic you all sound talking about the Yankees more than your own team. Maybe every day when the Pistons are talked about 500 times Ill come on here and throw a big whining, crying hissy fit about all the attention they get. The sad thing is that you take the media way too serious. Most of us here in NY tune out 90 % of the Yankees media blitz, and we are fans, so why cant you haters just do the same thing and tune it out ? Is it that tough for you ? Did you not get enough love at home as a child ? I am such a huge baseball fan in general, and I think it is just a great thing for the game, and the people of Detroit in general to have the Tigers doing well. I will root for them, as will many true fans, but that is where the difference is. You dont realize that Yankee fans are not the ones working for the media and reporting this crap day in and day out. Some of us are sick of it too, and many of us enjoy a team like the Tigers turning things around and doing so well, but you go and spoil the fun for yourselves and others by ranting on about the Yankees.

Yeah the pitching crapped out tonight.....and they still won....big deal ? No team has bad pitching nights ? IF it were up to you we would all believe the Yankees pitching sucks every night AXHOLE.

And the crack was even mentioning the yankees when there was no need to ya moron. It had no purpose on the thread other than to cry about who gets more attention.

No, it was to belie the fact that even though the tigers have an oustanding record, better than the yankees, the yankees get more media attention, and that was the point of the OP.

There was no crying (except by yankee 'fans' running to cry about someone mentioning the yankee's name), just a valid and rational point (something obviously lost on the likes of you).

First off, it has no rational at all. NY is a bigger market, so by no fault of the Yankees, or the fans they get more exposure. Any true fan ignores 95% of it and absorbs the stuff that actually matters.

I never once said anyone said anything negatively about Detroit, but Georgie Poo has come out with negative comments about certain players on many occasions, so negative things have already been said this year already, but apparently, you are unable to see the sarcasm. I am the only one coming on and bashing other people's cities, whoa, slow down boy, the city of Detroit has the "Murder Capital" title, as if everytime I go downtown, I am going to catch a slug in the mug. There is no difference between Detroit and most other major urban cities, only people feel Detroit is the worst, because of a few dolts that set fires on Devil's Night for a few years straight a decade ago making the national news. That was prevalant in a Sacramento/Detroit basketball game, when a pregame video showed what is the stereotype of what the city is like. Sure, an apology followed, but if it is not what was felt, it would not have been shown. The Ron Artest fight at the Palace, I saw how Detroit was in the negative spotlight too, yet, the Palace of Auburn Hills is in Auburn Hills, about 35 miles away. So in that sense, being from the Detroit area, I have a right to bltch about how my area is portrayed!!!!

For Christs sake, do you just enjoy hearing yourself talk ?? WHO bashed Detroit on these boards ??? WHO ??????? ANSWER that simple damn question. You ramble on and on and on and have no point in what you say at all. NOBODY has bashed Detroit on these boards you moron. You wonder why YOU are getting bashed now ?? You cant even comprehend what is going on here. YOU are bashing NY every chance you get and NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON on here has bashed Detroit. Wake up and get with reality. The media pisses you off with too much NY, so you come on here and bash NY and the fans. The MEDIA bashes Detroit, so you come on here and BASH NY'ers as if we were the ones who said it ????? Dude, you seriously dont have a clue. You have a problem with the way the media portrays Detroit, take it up with CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CNN, ESPN, whoever, but dont come on here claiming that ANYONE here bashed Detroit. And certainly dont come here bashing NY just because you are too ignorant to understand what is going on. Get your damn head out of that toilet and back to reality.

The Tigers have the best overall pitching ERA, at 3.19, over 3/4 of a point ahead of the beloved Yankees at 3.95, while the White Sox team ERA is 4.27!!!!

The SOX don't have a starting pitcher with a ERA under 4.00 and they have given up a WHOPPING 45 Home runs already.

Hardcore, the Tigers pitching has been nothing short of miraculous. What a turn around for a franchise that has been mired in pathetic ways for a long time.

Where is all this " beloved " crap coming from ???

We arent allowed to enjoy our team the same way you are allowed to enjoy your Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, and whoever else ??

Its a big issue when we defend them against fools and haters like you ? I suppose we are just supposed to keep quiet and let you bash away, right ?

I will ask you once again to stick that empty head of yours straight into that toilet.
