Always very nice. How do you store/display them? It would be nice to see a picture of the set together in your album or whatever you use.

    ms62 on the first

au58 i think i see some wear on this. but many might call it
    MS60-61

hm. might be a soft strike by chance?

basic reasoning on the guesses, is that the pics are hard
to determine hits. if you gave a few more pics with diff
lighting, i am sure many people would brave higher MS
grades if the coins warranted it.

    my two cents

    ---

but as a nice coin should, the more you look at it, the more
you like it. i feel both these coins fall under that category.

buffs are hard to grade for me.

dont be mad ! I was going to actually say top 64-65, bottom 63-64, but I know with a buff from my experience that when I say MS62-4 (on a buffalo nickel), I should quickly shut up and give a corresponding AU53/58 grade image I woudn't be suprised to see MS6x holders on both of them in my completely limited experience, I ddn't want to look like a moron so I went conservative !

Just kidding, Hyperion, just feigning being wounded...I enjoy your posts and think you're great.

    HAHAHA... nicely done
Which weighs more, a pound of wheat pennies, or a pound of Roosevelt dimes?

That's a good strike for a 30-S. Also, neither coin looks AU....in the picture anyway.

the 30-S is quite attractive, especially if the color is as the photo shows
  • Here we go again trying to judge/grade Buffs from pics without the coin in hand. We can play the game but we can't be too sure without the coin in hand with a 5x glass.

They do look MS but who knows for sure from pics alone?

The limitations of photographs are obvious and very well known. When people post pix with "Guess the grade" (which I did not do in this case), it's exactly what you say it is: A game. Participation is optional..

I've read a lot of nice observations and learned a lot from this game, though.

  • Don't get me wrong, I LIKE playing the game. It also encourages dialogue which is sharing knowledge!

    Let's play.

I also like the pictures. Nice coins.
