Please check out this auction and price:
Blue Moon Chopped Trade Dollar
I especially like the phase...."Our consigners opinion (and we agree) is that a Chop Mark coin is much more rare and desirable than a non-Chop Mark coin. This is the only uncirculated Chop Mark Carson City trade dollar we have ever seen or heard of…we assume there are more, however, we have never seen or heard of another one."
What hoqwash! This is exactly why there needs to be another alternative to eBay.

I guess Trade dollars are a whole new ballgame, but chop marks happen in commerce and while a coin may not show wear (somehow?) to me, a chop mark would trump lack of wear and a grade of AU58 (59?) would be as high as it could ever go.
I'll be content with my single XF-AU "chopless" version in my 7070 type set to represent my Trade Dollar interest.
