That is so fine, But I don't have any kids to wake so I figure the more noise the better as if there are any accomplices they should scatter or get the same prescription............Rick

I like guns and own several. I will never own a class III weapon. The right to bear arms is a right but you give up some of your rights when you legally own a class III weapon. No thanks I'll pass.image

Looks cool but they mess with ballistics and throw off the handling of the firearm.

Suppressors (and MGs) are quite easy to acquire in MD (MD is the just about the easiest state) - just a 1/2 day of getting local sigs, fingerprints and a 3 month wait for paperwork (plus $200 tax stamp) and Wallah! Noise free fun!

Suppressors were originally regulated in 1934 due to fears of illegal poaching by hunters.

MS63! That HK is MS66 for sure!

Now for that 9mm MAC10... hmm.....

added - the HK USP Tactical was specifically designed to be used with the can (even the sites are taller to be seen over the can) - the can is very light, as is the gun. When mated together, they are as natural as peanut butter and jelly.

I prefer something a little more vintage. image

This is an 1851 Navy revolver, but knowing by the serial #, it was manufactured during the year...

I seem to remember that silencer is treated the same as a full auto machine gun, a $200 transfer tax.

Anyone know whether or not having this silencer registered allows the authorities to search the premises anytime they want?

Owning a Class 3 weapon gives the gov't the right to come into your house with no warrent, as does having an FFL, you surrender those rights.

I've been trying to make a silencer for years. Finally gave up and decided to just spend more time with coins.
I can brag about a great coin but can't brag about a silencer.
I can show people a great coin but can't show them howa silencer works.
If the feds are monitoring this forum they can't do anything about someone showing a coin but they could trace out someone showing a silencer.
I think I worry more about our government than I do about criminals. Or is that the same thing?

One gives up a bit in ballistics when installing/attaching a suppressor on a handgun, but the firearm/suppressor combination is a special-purpose weapon not intended for long-range effectiveness. I use slower-speed ammunition on my suppressed Walther P-38 to ensure a quieter report.
  • It's not the citizen with a gun I worry about it's the dink, double tap fail safe = "two to the body one to the head".
