A fantasy off-center IH clock set

I once dreamed of putting together an IH off-center clock set, every coin in MS condition.
Much like I've seen put together in Buffalo nickels. There was a cool display in Baltimore a
couple of years ago of a Buffalo clock set in beautiful condition.
Reality soon set in, MS condition was out of the question. IH's struck off-center between
11 and 1 o'clock are easy to find in MS grade. Between 3 and 6 o'clock are virtually impossible.
The rest are very tough as well.
So I visited Heritage's error archive this weekend and put together my fantasy clock set.
They are not all exact, clockwise -- 2 o'clock is more like 2:30. But you could have put this
set together from error coins offered by Heritage over the past few years, for about 17K.

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
Thanks......it looks great, and shows what can be done with
Errors....
I've seen not only off-center and clip planchet clocks, but also Double
Struck clocks, and "StarBurst Clocks"
Starburst Clocks are those that cointain a coin off-center at
10%, 20%, up to 90% off-center, per clock position, and then
the same for each hour.....!
Someplace around here I have such a clock consisting of all
1964 Jeff. Nickels......think there's 144 pieces to it.....
These were popular (and possible) in the mid-and-late 1960's,
and were often Exhibitied at the Error-A-Ramas, the first 6-8
of which were held here in Southern Calif.
No, but a screw through the center might.
10%, 20%, up to 90% off-center, per clock position, and then
the same for each hour.....!
Fred - I've never heard of that type of clock set, but would love to see one.
For moderns that sounds like the ultimate challenge.
As for IH's, I've come to the conclusion that a clock set that shows every date
(my fantasy set has 2 no dates) and is comprised completely of MS or AU coins
would be a major accomplishment. Do you agree?
to have every clock position with a date, unless
the date-area coin is only 10% off-Center, or thereabouts.
In the Indian Cent series, because the date is
at 6:00, you won't find a coin over that percentage
with a date showing.
You would probably have to "mix and match" the
percentage off-center for certain clock positions.....
That's great - you should print it out and really make a clock face with it

I would love to make a set like that.
Does 12:00 O'Clock have an "L"??
No, it doesn't
