I am thinking of breaking & selling my raw sets from 1968-Present. All Ex/Mt and better; Now if I list them on ebay individually in my ebay store with grades, Ie. NM, EX/MT etc at a tremendous price (tbd), with low shipping, guarentee your satisfaction, with another card or money back, accept paypal, have good feedback, Would you buy If no scan were present? Oviously, I need to scan the higher $ dollar cards, but what about all the commons that book less than $2.00, which includes most of the 70's- and up. Opinions really needed. We have nothing listed right now, so there no need to check my auction link. Thanks.
My ebay store IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY

why not?
I can't blame anyone for not wanting the hassle of screwing around with scanning especially if we're talking 1 and 2.00 cards.
In this day and age with over grading running rampant on the bay I think you'll be losing out on potential buyers.
Maybe you could spend a day scanning then a day listing and attack this major project in segments. I find this approach far more productive than scanning as you list.
Turbolister can also make your task a lot easier.
If scanning each card is not your choice and you have a large scanner you could scan 9 cards at a time and use that image for all 9 listings. It's not the best way to show their condition but is far better than no scan at all.
JMHO. Best of luck, Bob C.

I also don't think a return policy makes a difference. It's too much of a hassle in most circumstances to return a few cards for a menial refund of low dollar commons.

Consider selling in lots?
I have stacks of cards from 50's-60's-70's and have no idea how to list.
I too buy nothing without a scan. I think that investing the time and $$ in scanner(however you didn't state that youdon't have one) would certainly pay off.
Mass scans can be done pretty easily. Scan 9 cards at a time and you can crop the card in ebay, or show a scan of 9 cards for some cross marketing. For the star cards I would go no smaller than 400 pixels wide and state that "Upon e-mail request you can provide bigger scans of the front and the back."
The scan speaks volumes. I have sold only about 100 cards raw and I described them all as NM. IMO they were, but I didn't cutomize each auction but I showed a very large scan and wrote "Please view the scan to form your own opinion on the condition. The card pictured is the actualy card you will recieve."
Sorry for the lengthy response
