Positive article in Coin World - Dealer does not rip collector.

To counteract all of the negative threads about dealers and ripoffs, I suggest everyone check out an article in the May 22, Coin World. The dealer got a walk-in with a bag of beat up Buffalos. He told the customer that he, in fact, had an AU 1918/7-D Buffalo. He got it certified and conserved by NGC/NCS, and the walk-in now has a $20,000 coin.

That's exactly the initial reaction my cynical side had. But I think we need to fight the urge to minimize acts of goodwill, regardless of how rare or unusual they are in the industry. IMO, this situtation is deserving of our praise without any reservations.

It may not be simply the honesty that prompted the article, but rather the coolness factor of finding one of the great rarities in the bag.

Kinda like that car insurance commercial (Amica) where policyholders were jumping for joy simply because they were getting good customer service.
