What do you expect out of this Texas hurler this week? He's going against the Nationals in a day game at Wrigley. I'd love to be there not only for the game but for the nostalgia of Wrigley.

    Uhm, I think they'd throw out their shoulder on the first punch, and then who am I to beat up on a defenseless individual? It's why I take it easy on mentally beating up on WP. He's got no defenses.

    Not sure about Wood being a candy ass as he has had real injuries.

    Prior on the other hand...I may take Axtell in that fight.

    Prior is just made of glass there's no way around it, I agree Wood might be just on a run of bad luck with the injury bug. Some of this also might be just because they play for the Cubbies the unluckiest baseball team ever.

    5 innings, 71 pitches, 52 for strikes - 5 hits, 4 earned runs. Not a very good outing, he surrendered 3 home-runs. On a positive note, he didn't walk a batter and struck out 6.

    Im not expecting anything more than what he has been so far which is a disappointment.

    Cubfan, if he can shake the injury bug and put together a few injury free seasons he could become a dominant pitcher as he has shown some signs of greatness (when healthy ofcourse) Imagine if Prior and him stayed healthy? Great 1-2 punch.......hang in there...

    Imagine how many players would be great if they were able to stay healthy. Being able to stay healthy is the sign of a true athlete, Prior and Wood are made of glass!!!!!!

    when he first jumped out as as a strikeout pitcher, there was more than a handful who said they'd be suprised if he lasted three years with his style of delivery.
