"We all collect the same coins".

"We all collect the same coins". Obviously untrue but sometimes it seems that way... especially the big bombers- including but not restricted to these perennial favorites: :

Lemming-like commemoratives from Austria,
20 Reis from the remote Azores.
Five hundred Fils from Bahrain,
5 Francs from old Belgium's shores.

Any CN dollar from Bermuda
with a Pillar$dollar Bolivian.
A counter-marked 40 Reis
and a 2000 Reis Brazilian.

British E. Caribbean won't qualify,
But the British Virgin Islands do.
And there's a Canadian goose of course
and noble Indians in their canoe.

The Chilean UN peso vulture still lurks,
along with the Chinese Yuan.
Congo's powerful copper 10 centimes
and Cuba's UN peso '39.

Ecuador has a gent with sideburns
and Egypt has '17 Piastres galore.
El Salvador's peso has Cristobal Colon;
Finland's Markkaa has Olympical lore.

France has Francs in sizes
from small to very grand.
Gibraltar has commemoratives
to rival grains of sand.

Germany's defeat of Napoleon,
In Drei mark the story was told.
From great Britain's distant shores
large coins quantities still unfold.

On and on it goes,
large coins from every time.

oops King George has got a scar.
    so much for ms63
it's body bag for George and me.

    and then there's 1954
a year in many countries worth fighting for
we may have the Kings of Prussia,
but can we find the tsars of Russia?

    I know you're not a newbie
    so why forget the newfie?
1859 large cent is hard to grasp
especially if it's made of brass.

    with their economy gone ablazing
    Ireland's coins are quite amazing
tropical islands are great for romance
their coins go for a song and dance.

    Medals seem to carry on
got a chest to pin them on?
    then there's the swiss rappen
    bidding always seems to happen.
