Guess when Bonds passes the Babe & win a prize

I posted this in the community forum, but figured it would be ok here too....

The person who guesses the game and inning in which Bonds hits the home run to pass Ruth will receive 10 rack packs of 1987 Topps pulled directly from a unopened case. Should nobody guess the exact game & inning, the closest to it will win. As a bonus, if someone can guess the game, inning AND opposing pitcher correctly they will receive a full box of 87 Topps rack packs. Good luck to all !

    I can care less when he does it. I don't pay attention. Bonds is a fraud along with many others in his generation. Babe Ruth hit 60 homeruns in one year at a time when ENTIRE teams were hitting 40 COMBINED. All while woofing down many hot dogs and eggs per day and lots of libation by night. If Bonds was credible I would tip my hat. But instead I choose to ignore. Not news to me. Hopefully Pujols or somebody will make good and shatter the big frauds numbers.

    edit to add: goose I think he has been batting 3rd as of late so 2nd inning will be tuff. they would have to bat around.

    No surprise, Barry isn't getting any Love. First inning on Monday in Houston off of Buchholz. As far as I am concerned, the Babe will be 2nd behind Hammerin Hank even if Bonds hits 800.

    Well, he passed Ruth......nobody guessed exactly, but two people will receive 10 packs each. The first winner is WeekendHacker who guessed the 27th, 1st inning, and the second winner will be LWMM. LWMM originally guessed the 26th, but then edited to the 28th when he noticed someone else had the same day. Since I did not stipulate if more than one person can guess the same day its only fair to award both a prize. So congratulations to our winners ( personally Barry will get no congrats from me ). Fellas, pm me and I can get your address info to send the packs out to you tomorrow.

    I couldn't help but laugh when I opened a box and low and behold, there were 10 1987 topps rack packs neatly placed within the box. I was expecting some cards I won in numerous ebay auctions, but this is the box I received today. Thanks for making my day. I knew all along the contest was legit, but never really expected to win, much less receive the cards. I'll probably donate them (unopened of course) to a local boys club. Thanks again!!!!

    No problem at all, glad you had a good mail day cuz I had my third mail screw up of the week when I got a package from our neighbors to the north all chewed up and the PSA holder in 174 pieces. Damn Canuck postal workers must be downing too much Molson on the job. image
