Older Wax Pack Question

What are opinions regarding the best older pack to break (any sport) with hopes of submitting in terms of quality of card contained in the pack (i.e. usually good centering, edges, surface) / potential for hitting a decent player / price of the pack?
Looking for additions or upgrades to my Graig Nettles master player set on the registry.

    In my opinion that's an impossible question to answer. Quality varies so much that there is no way to say that "year x" had all nicely centered cards. It's a crapshoot plain and simple.
