Ouch - Matsui breaks his wrist

I was watching the Yankee-Red Sox game on MLB.TV. It looks pretty bad and he needs surgery. Will probably be out for the year. Who is Money Bags George going to get to replace him? LOL

    Actually, it looks like Bubba is a better fielder, but they are going to miss Godzilla's bat, which may be for the rest of the season!

    That was an ugly injury to watch. I always like Matsui, a tough player and a tough out, especially against Boston. The initial report is that he'll be out for at least 3 months, maybe longer.

    I agree with Bri on this wholeheartedly. The insensitivity on here by a select few is digusting.

    As much as I hate the Yankee's,Matsui is a very respectable player who plays hard and keeps his mouth shut, tuff hit for Yank fans.

    Also a tuff hit for my fantasy baseball team as I drafted Randy and Moose as two of my starters, with Matsui joining Sheffield on the DL that big time affects run support for all Yankee pitching.

    Oh well GO SOX

    You hate to see a player get hurt, especially in this fashion (I missed the play, but I read that it looked really painful - and he barely grimaced from the pain). Matsui always impressed me as a player, and I see today that he actually apologized for the injury, saying he let his team down. And, he thanked Torre for being considerate of his consecutive game streak - both statements were classy on his part.
