Question on Grading 1974 Topps Stamps & Hostess Hand Cut

74 Stamps

It looks like Nettles is on the end of the panel and may not have a right border would anyone know if this is typical for stamps on the end of the panel or this just a bad sheet? Are these typiccally graded as entire panels, individual stamps or both? Thanks for any help as I have 0 knolwedge on this issue.

Hostess

How does PSA judge the panels when they are hand cut? What is the proper distance to leave from the dotted line?

Thanks again for any help, much appreciated.

As i have high grades in both-- I had it cut as close to the black space bars as possible. Some have left it room.

    Patrick:

As for Hostess - as long as you can see the dotted line all around, evenly spaced is preferrable, as are straight cuts.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

All the 74 stamp panels I have are poorly cut... They all look like the following:

  • Keep the cuts away from the dotted lines. Looks so much better in my opinion.
I had an 8 that looked better than the 9 that i have now.
