Question from non coin guy.

Hi,

I have never posted on the coin boards but I have a few coins from what looks like Russia 1896 as well as Germany I don't remember the year but they have (swaztakas) not sure if I spelled that correctly. Is there any type of worth to these. I can scan tonight. Just curious I know nothing about coins.

Thanks for any help with this,

Glen

I'm sure there is some value, and I don't just mean sentimental. image

Just like cards, though, value depends on condition. If you're thinking about getting hooked on coins I'd recommend checking a local bookstore or library to browse the Standard Catalog of World Coins (aka Krause, our bible, comes in 4 volumes--1 per century). It lists values for most circulating coins ever made!

As for the specific coins you mentioned, dunno but they sound neat.. need more details to ID them: year, mint and preferably a pic to judge condition.
