Price for a well centered Jim Brown RC PSA 8?

What would be a "reasonable" price for this card. Someone has one for $1599 and has been offered $1400 and turned it down. This is a great looking card and any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Hi Ed. Centering and eye appeal are key for this card. You can get a PSA 8 for $1100- $1200, but they will be slightly off-center. If the card has good centering and strong eye appeal, $1599 is in the high end of the neighborhood, but it's probably worth it. If you have a scan of the card, post it or email it to me.

$1400 is a good price for a high end Jim Brown. If I was the seller, I'd take it and run.

That does seem really high. I paid 400 for my 7...and usually there isn't that much of a difference from a 7 to an 8.

Great looking card, but $1700 is too high right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for $1500 at mastro or something...maybe try offering $1400 on it if that's in your budget, and see what he says?

I thought the same thing. Vic has two nice ones for $1400 each - and I'm sure you can talk him down a little bit. His website is www.psafootball.com.

Thanks for thinking of me Edimage
The guy is right though. That is probably the best centered Brown Of seen in the last 10 years. The scan stinks though. That card might be "bumpable" if the corners were sharp. Great eye appeal, strong centering and a 315 certimage

I saw that card a while back, and I don't think that $1,400 offer was real. It ca,e in almost as soon as the auction was listed. Looks like a friend might have e-mailed the question to make someone hop on the buy price.

The one on eBay has nice centering, but the fact that the scan is small and crappy leads me to believe there's something to hide, so it aint the nicest 8 going. Now if you guys want to see a really nice 8, check out Uncle Joe's from his registry set:

I remember when Joe got that card. I was so jealous. Seeing that scan just reminds me of how envious I am.image
