Another Ebay MORON! ... anyone got a clue for sale?

Ya know... I think I'm gonna change my shipping policies... err, prices anyway. Check out this F------g idiot.

I think starting next week, I'm going to adopt a new shipping rate. I normally charge a simple $2.50 for
a single card... some may say even that's a little high, but at least I use padded envelopes no matter what!
I can't stand getting my cards in unpadded white envelopes with a damn $.37 stamp on the front
(after being charged $3 for shipping of course.)

Yep, from now on I think I'm going to charge $2.50 for single cards, but have a disclaimer. My disclaimer will be:

S/H for all single cards will be just $2.50 for the first and $.50/ea addtional UNLESS you are an
Ebay dealer charging $4+ to ship a single card first class. In this case, YOUR shipping will be $500 per card with no combined shipping.
Think I'm kidding? Consider it back-taxes for all the people you've been ripping off!
*** If you're a PSA message boards member, you're S/H will be $1 for all single cards! You'll need to PM me w/in 48hrs
on the boards after the auction has ended to get your discount!

Anyone else think that sounds about right?
In fact, I'll honor the $1 deal to the board members for my auctions ending this weekend if anyone is interested....
but just on the single card auctions, and small lots. I'll still discount the S/H on the sets and larger lots too (I'll cut it in half.)
You'll need to PM me with 48hrs of auction closing...

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

Violation of ebay rules. they can't collect on shipping fees. those auctions should be reported. That is the fastest way to get stuff removed/users booted - mess with ebay's money.

  • He is doing this to void ebay selling fees.

Users may not use systems or techniques to circumvent, or avoid, eBay fees. Sellers should review the ‘Some Examples’ section below to ensure they are not engaging in practices that circumvent eBay fees.

Unreasonable shipping or handling costs - The seller may add a reasonable shipping and handling fee to the final price of the item, but may not charge excessive shipping and handling fees, excessive required insurance fees, or excessive (or not applicable) taxes in an effort to make the item appear artificially inexpensive, to avoid eBay fees, or for any other purposes. A shipping and handling fee may cover the seller's reasonable costs for mailing, packaging, and handling the item. Shipping and handling fees may not be listed as a percentage of the final sale price. Please see the complete Excessive Shipping and Handling policy for more details.

eBay encourages sellers to clearly describe the item and terms of shipping and delivery in their listings to avoid possible confusion.

A shipping and handling fee can cover the seller's reasonable costs for mailing, packaging and handling the item. However, shipping and handling fees may not be listed as a percentage of the final sale price.

When a bid is placed, the bidder is entering into an agreement with the seller to purchase the item, which most often means incurring reasonable shipping charges that may also include handling fees.

In the case of disagreements between buyers and sellers regarding shipping charges, eBay encourages the parties to try to work the matter out.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

    Listing cancellation

    Limits on account privileges

    Account suspension

Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings

    Loss of PowerSeller status

    Circumventing Fees

is correct, however, if you look at odd items such as camera batteries, that is how they all sell their products. $.99 and $10.00 shipping. I am tired of all of the scammers including those placing PSA in their listing and reporting 100 % !

i reported the seller in general. I don't normally care what people do to keep ebay from making money. But I'm tired of seeing all these things going on there (scams, deception, fleecing me for money, etc).

people are really getting worked up over this stuff lately for no good reason....is everyone really that concerned that the ebay fees are being avoided?

c'mon, does anyone really think that if an individual a isn't allowed to charge $10 for shipping he's really going to relist the card at $.99 and charge $1 shipping? Of course not, more than likely he's going to relist the item, and it' going to be started at an even higher rate to cover the fees he now has to incur...so what's really accomplished, we helped ebay get their fair due?

The same goes for all the shilling complaints...it's a never ending cycle, people complain about reserves and won't bid on those auctions...but then get bent out of shape because someone uses a shill to ensure he gets the minimum price he's willing to sell his item for. Besides getting something for nothing....can someone actually present a logical solution to these incredibly pressing issues everyone is so worked up over?

With all due respect, I thinkwe're going a little overboard on this guy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't priority mail begin at like $4.00? And he will combine all winnings into one shipping & handling fee. Sure, his fee is high, but nobody's forcing anybody to deal with him. He posts his cost right up front and I have no problem with him. You want to see excessive shipping and handling, try winning a lot from one of the major auction houses.

Even with PM it's over charging on s/h fee.

I don' think there's anything harsh about it. He's selling a 25¢ card with a $10 shipping fee attached to it. Even if I agree to pay only the minimum bid, how can anyone justify $10. I can't build that into my bidding strategy. Hell, a $10 opening bid (2005 Topps 50 Anniv Hidden Gold Insert Chris Brown ) with a $10 shipping fee? Let's just say that I agree that $10 is an acceptable amount to bid on the card ( I can't imagine that it is)...I have to pay $10 to get it shipped?
I'm not buying anything he's selling and I could care less if eBay ever makes any money, that's not my problem. People with legit auctions get theirs pulled for "violations" while scammers, keyword spammers and fee circumvention people seem to have millions of auctions running at any one time.

Even $10 for priority with SIGNATURE confimation is a rip off for a single card!
Now this is just a guess... but I'd be willing to bet a card bought from this idiot would be packaged
in a plain white un-padded envelope with a $.37 stamp in it. At the VERY most, you might get it in a
padded envelope, but there'd be a $.63 stamp on the outside!

Look, I know I (or any sain person for that matter) doesn't have to bid on this auction or any others like it.
    I think everyone knows that.

Duner... is there an answer? Probably not. I was just venting a little about another moron out there,
and trying to get as many people I can to report this guy along with me.

With all due respect, I thinkwe're going a little overboard on this guy.

    I agree 100% with Morrell.

As stated 1,000 times on these boards, just factor the shipping and handling into your bid. Yes, he is a scummy Ebayer so... DO NOT BID on his auctions.

My life involves some very high stress things so to worry about someone's s&h fee just seems petty to me.

    Just my opinion.

OR whether someone 'forgets' to list a qualifier in an auction title, or keword spams, or lada lada lada...

A sociologist could have a frickin' field day examining why people have such passionately negative reactions to other Ebay members. People don't seem to get a little irritated by high shipping costs, or shill bidding, or keword spamming, they get downright p!ssed off. Why is this?

This was his response to my asking him why shipping is $10.

Bottom line is I can send this to you via USPS 2-3 day Pri for $7.99 if that will help you out? That is the S & H I am doing in my ebay store for the next month and I will honor it for any auctions! I set the $10.00 S & H cost as a business decision of running an ebay store. Alot of factors are included in that decision. Thank you for your question and concerns.

  • I try to charge as close as possible to my actual S&H cost.Envelopes, packing material, and postage.

More people will bid if your S&H is reasonable.

I refuse to bid on an item with ludicrous,or even inflated, S&H.I can usually find the same item elsewhere on ebay with S&H I can live with.

You'd think with all that money he's collecting on Ebay fees he'd at least be able to buy a scanner.
