Looks Liike I Got a Dog Fight......

I've seen this "auction fight" before, but never on my stuff. I thinking about emailing the low bidder with words of encouragement....or telling him he is a wuss for getting outbid.

Not sure if this link works but... I mean its a nice card, but 40% overboard right now.

Wow, I sold a PSA 8 Mantle a couple years ago and the final bid was closer to $1200 as I remember. Damn, I wish harley-truck was around then!

His '65 card is, IMHO, vastly undervalued in price guides. It's one of his more difficult cards to get in top condition. Good luck!

Wow is right, that card routinley sells for 1300 or slightly less dollars. Yes this one is nicely centered BUT one could be purchased from a dealers website (707) for less.

Harly guy has been blowing lotsa dollars as of late.

    Good for you.
  • Yes, 2 impatient bidders gone completely insane (like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now).

Ebay sales I have tracked over the past several years on this card (most recent on the far right): 1416/994/1000/1001/1100/900/1005/936/825/1110/1111/1202/943/931/1161/955/1352/1094

And the centering right to left on the one listed is not even 55/45.

Damn good deal for the seller though...

maybe he's stocking up for nationals and plans on making a few bucks on it? I moderate another one of the trading forums and we've had a large influx of new users joining and buying stuff up. I sold a box of mediocre graded stuff for 25%. If I was at a show selling dealer to dealer, I'd be lucky to get 15%, and even if I dumped it all cheaply to make sure it sold, or even put it on ebay, I might get 35% so I was happy. Seems lots of guys are running around buying stuff up...

Or maybe he needs it for his registry, after all the deadline is <25 days away. image

Wow. $2,225.00 final bid. Congratulations! It's a great looking card...

  • Yea I loved the final price. Then it got better...he then went into my ebay store like a bull in a china shop and came out the other side with 6k worth of over priced stuff. Gotta love this guy.
