Check out my latest Snipe!!! I suprised myself on this one...

I put a watch on this card about 5-6 days ago. Came down and logged on it had 15 minutes left; put in a bid and was quickly outbid. So I upped it by only a few bucks and actually won it! It's not in that great of shape, worse condition that I actually wanted but it'll be a nice piece for my collection no doubt.

1966 Topps Don Sutton Rookie

Here's the kicker, I won it for 13.50!! The seller titled it wrong at "Don Suton" and didn't get a bid until the last day of the auction. Not bad eh?

seems about the current rate...a few have sold under 10 bucks in similar conditions.

Deals like that are everywhere on ebay. What seems like a good deal in real 'card life' is just a normal buy on ebay. Trust me, once your on for awhile, you'll be wondering why you bought a g-vg sutton rc for $13.50.

  • ^^Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I've seen ones in the same shape sell for a lot more. I don't have a huge amount I can spend on my collection at this point, so I just try and get the best within my budget.

What he said! Great pickup of a HOF rookie for under $20!

I hear you about the budget. I too have very limited income to spend on cards, so I try to make sure to get the most bang for my buck.

Great buy and great card! image

Though I am a Dodger fan can we discuss the merits of Don Sutton in the HOF? If he's in why not Tommy John, Bert Blyleven, et al....

300 wins and 3500 Ks. Only reasons. If he finished with 299 wins he would've already been off the ballot.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
