I'll tell you, I haven't been the biggest fan of 10¢ listing days...but today, I've found tons of cards offered by respected dealers that I haven't seen before or in a long time. I'm a fan of this go-round.

Does 10 cent listing day only mean that the insertion fee goes from 35 cents to 10 cents? Or does it mean that Ebay will only charge you 10 cents no matter how much your item sells for?

It just covers the insertion fee

Yeah, you gotta wade through a lot of junk, but I personally love 10 cent listing days. In the past, I've been able to find quite a few commons for my lists that wouldn't ordinarily see the light of day - haven't seen much yet, but the day isn't over either.

You're kidding me. So people get all giddy about 10 cent listing day because they save a QUARTER on the insertion fee?? What, so now if I put a card up with a $1500 price I only pay $60.89 in fees as opposed to $61.14?

Unreal. The most beautiful thing about ebay BY FAR is how it can make grown men with decent incomes grovel for fifty cents. Just look at these boards-- I'm guess most guys here who aren't in school make over $40,000 a year, and while they have no problem with dropping $60 at the bar after their golf league they're reading to hang a seller by their toenails if they think the shipping cost on a frickin' baseball card is $2 too much. Or take this useless 'ten cent listing day'; you have guys with $30,000 collections, and they won't part with a SINGLE CARD if it costs them-- gasp!-- 35 cents to list, but at 10 cents they're ALL OVER IT!!

You can't make this stuff up. God bless Ebay.

It is a 10 cent insertion fee no matter what the starting price is.
Today if you list an item for $500 start insertion fee is $0.10
Any other day the insertion fee will be $4.80 for example....quite a savings if you list multiple high dollar items.
Also, you can start an item higher instead of using a reserve.

I was going to list a few of these 1959 topps PSA9's that I made here.....but figured I'd better not or you guys might bash me for what would be insane prices with "make an offers".image

On an unrelated topic, I just happened to notice that the counter for the Carew rookie card auction went from 17 to 30 in a little over an hour. I'm not sure if that is due primarily to the readers of this thread or not, but it's been something that's been discussed here recently.
