Canadian Pennies

Does anyone know if Canadian cents have any metal value ? If so , what and from what years ?

    Canadian cents were 95% to 98% copper right up until 1997 when the went to copper plated zinc and then to copper plated steel. I'm sure the copper is worth a bit more than a cent.

    A quick look at the Charlton Standard Catalog shows they are 95% copper (at least) thru 1996.
