Could you please tell me what you can about this seller mrbob_loblaw? You wrote in his feedback ..... Seller does not ship the same card as the one he shows in his auctions. AVOID!!! I have asked for a scan of the card, PSA holder and certificate, as well as proof of insured shippment to me, but he claims that he does not have a scanner (although he has thirty items listed with scans as we speak ! Getting tired of these questionable sellers ! Any thoughts?

Avoid mrrloblaw at all costs....i recently bid on and won a beautifully pictured 1964 Hank aaron Stand Up from him. I already had a GAI8.5, but wanted another for my PSA registry. Upon receiving the card, I was shocked to see that the card was NOT the card he pictured on his auction. The card I received had NO perforations, while the picture looked like a psa10 equivalent. I am not sure if it was some type of proof, as no one i spoke to had ever seen or heard of the 1964 stand ups w/ no perfs on it around the player. My guess is that it was cut from some type of sheet or something. He gave me a very difficult time returning the card, but ultimately took it back.

AVOID HIM !!!!!! HE has problems shipping the card he puts up for auction...

Well what happened was that even though he sent me a PSA 8 Oscar Robertson card it was not the same one he had pictured in his auction. The whole reason I won't bid on cards without a scan is because not all cards are created equal as we all know. This guy gave me the song and dance that "an 8 is an 8". He was a jerk and his auction was misleading. Nowhere did he say that the high bidder would not be getting what was pictured. I would avoid him at all costs.

Yeah, I hate a-holes like that who uses a different scan and don't tell you about it. I don't mind so much if they specifically mention that the scan pictured is just a reference scan, but when they don't tell you, that can be considered fraud.

I had a scumbag do that with a 2000 SP Auth. Brady. He used a different pic in the auction that looked perfectly centered. What I got was OC from L-R and T-B. Since the 2000 SP Auth. Brady is numbered, even the stamped serial on the card didn't match the pic. When I emailed him to complain and get a refund, he basically said "Tough - get over it". Naturally, he's NARU'd now.

I have also had a bad experience with this guy. I bought a 1970 PSA 8 Pete Rose and paid right after the auction closed. After two weeks of no card showing up I emailed him with no response. I sent emails over the next three days and got no response. After another week I contacted EBay in regards to the missing card. They froze all his Paypal cash and I got an email right away from him saying the card had been already sent but he would send another one anyway (LIE) and I should enjoy both of them......I thought that was unusual as it was a pretty expensive card and I had paid for insurance so he should be able to track it. I ask him for the tracking numberand told him that when I received the card I would remove the complaint against him. He Fed EX'd me a card overnight which wasn't the same one that was in the auction. It was equal in quality so I didn't think much of it. I removed the EBay complaint and he emailed me back saying that he had never sent the first one. Now I have the feedback sitting in there and I'm debating whether or not to neg him as he will probably neg me in return. Regardless, I will never bid on anything of his again.

I wanted to thank the posters on this thread--I was looking at a 1960 Mantle PSA 8 and was about to make a serious offer on it until I noticed who the seller was.

I reported him to eBay and we will see ! I am tired of all of the scammers including those placing PSA in their GEM listing and have been reporting 100 % of them for the last week ! Same thing with the PSA 9 listings that "forget" to put in OC !!!!!!!!!!! I am mad as @ell !

I also had an irritating experience with mr bob. I was the high bidder on a 1967 Clemente PSA 8 for $212 (they normally sell for $250 or so) and I paid immediately after the auction closed via Paypal. About two weeks later I still had not heard anything so I sent him an email regarding the shipping status. He refunded me my money and said the card was damaged in the mail and returned to his address.
If this guy is honest he has some real bad luck with the post office.

Just an update about this jerk. I did neg him for his bad business and of course I got a neg in return. I responded to the neg saying it was worth it to let others know of his shady dealings. He emailed me and told me I got mine and I should be happy I received a card. Not the card but one similar to it. I emailed him back and let him know that the word was getting out about him on these boards.

RedRomad. good for you! I finally completed the emails with the HEADERS that Ebay requires on my complaint! This guy will be gone and your unwarranted negative back eliminated very soon! I cannot imagine Ebay will not ban him permanently!

I just recieved today a card from him that I won on April 17th. After numerous emails and several phone calls that were not returned I finally got a email from his father saying that Matt got in over his head with ebay and that he's a good kid and that he will make everything right. Should I leave him neutral feedback because I did get the card or just forget it. Please let me know what you would do.

I used to take the stance that if I had issues with someone and I received the card I would just give them neutral feedback but I'm fed up with a lack of good customer service. If it's bad...it's bad. Ebay has a different opinion on how much bad service warrants being booted. I feel like by not giving accurate feedback of a seller is doing a disservice to other potential buyers. So if EBay won't boot someone for being shady at least there is more feedback for someone to make an educated decision to buy or not. This is also easier for me to do than others as a retalition negative doesn't effect me as much. Just my 2 cents.

I think he uses scans from other auctions because he may not have a scanner. That would explain getting a different card than the one pictured.

I think he was collecting money for cards that he never owned and making refunds when people inquired as to shipping status. Never stole the money, only "borrowed it" from buyers he never intended to sell to !

It has escalated to a Paypal claim, and I'll certainly take it to the police in his town (Uniontown, Ohio) if needed. Ebay gave me his number, and the caller sounded like a drug dealer and said I had the wrong number... Does anybody have any real contact information for him???

he paid for an item from me via paypal and i have his address from that. the address was good about 3 months ago.

Thanks earlycalguy. I found out today he initiated a refund, so it may be over. If not, I will certainly be in touch. He gave me the full sob story that others have cited - "In over my head, getting out of ebay...". No word on why he had to keep my money for 7 weeks. Like someone else said, he's probably just going to resurface as another ID on ebay and scam more people....

Still, my experience with ebay, paypal and even the US Post Office has been 99.9% positive.

Ebay still considers this nut a Power Seller ! Great fishing in NW Ontario last week! I was hoping if my Wings did not win the Cup at least the Oilers would ! I always root for Detroit, then Toronto and any Canadian team except for Montreal ! At least my friends to the north still watch the games! Ten northerns over 36" and two over 40" makes for a grerat trip !
