Self Adhesive Stamps

Just curious as to how you all feel about self-adhesive stamps. I myself hate them and stopped buying new U.S.P.S. products after they came out (for my collection). I love them for mail but hate them as a collectable. How do the rest of you feel?

    Just collect the commems and old U.S. I agree they're great for postage.

    That's about right ! Terrible aftertaste gum makes way for easy postage use.
    Selfadhesive stamps have been found with oozing gum which makes the problematic for collectors on early issues. The technique has somewhat improved since.

    The collector needs to adapt and a self adhesive exhibit need not play second fiddle when it comes to varieties.
    Offer quality British Africa, Commonwealth, Africa philatelic material.
