best 1970's box to buy

looking through bbcexchange's website....thinking of buying a 70's box. ive got my 1990's box ready to go...my 1980's box ready to go....now i need a 1970's one....


any suggestions? looking for good value...good selection of stars, good probability of better condition and not so expensive....

    if you're looking for price, probably the 78 or 79. i like the 79s if you can get a centered run.

    Anything but 75s because of a high chance of getting miscuts & OC otherwise a very great group of cards in the 75s.

  • I'll second the 77's, but I've heard there are issues with finding good centering on them.

    Boy are there ever. 79's are just as bad if not worse.

    I had my eye on 77's for a while now, but condition concerns me. It seems that of all the mid to late 70's issues that 77's are the least seen for sale, even by 4SC and some other big guys. I kinda think that if they cant pull anything decent to grade then what chance do we have.
