Home Metal Detecting

today was christmas for me. sand shark arrived.and very first find...

i couldnt beleive it . i ordered this yesterday and it arrived today. i was like a little kid on christmas morning. my 2 kids helped me with putting it together. its a snap to do and then i set it up according to the manual for the settings. another easy process. then we went out in the backyard to see how well it worked . i walked around for about 2 minutes when i picked up a stong signal. (there is no discrimination on this detector so you have to dig every signal) pinpointing is fairly easy with this unit and i marked the spot with my foot and then my son started digging. at about 3 - 4 inches down i heard his shovel hit metal. they were hoping it was a treasure chest. i was praying it wasnt a gas main. then the moment of truth. we pulled out an old rust encrusted pair of pliers. i never thought i would be excited about pulling out a rusty pair of pliers but at least i know that this detector works. now I CANT WAIT TO GO TO THE BEACH TOMORROW.

thanks. i dont dive . i got it mainly to search the wet sand where the waves come up onto the sand. the deepest i will probably go is about knee high. i printed out all the low tide tables from now until september.so i am ready.i figured it would be fun for me and my kids this summer. they were really into it today just searching the back yard. they should really have a blast at the beach. even if i dont find the crown jewels we are out in the sea air, catchin some rays and getting exercise. it dont get any better than that.
