Bonds smacked in the head by a Babe Ruth foul ball.....

I just saw on ESPN the Bonds stuck his head in the batting cage and got hit in the head with a foul ball. They showed him lying on the ground, they didn't say who hit it, but I am pretty sure it was Babe Ruth who blasted this ball upside Barry's oversized melon. Would this not be a fitting end to his joke of a career?

<< <i>MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Barry Bonds was dazed after being hit by a ball during batting practice before the Giants' game Wednesday night against the Brewers at Miller Park.

Bonds was leaning against the batting cage when a ball hit by Giants infielder Kevin Frandsen was caught by netting covering the batting cage, then struck Bonds in the forehead.

Bonds appeared to be stunned immediately after being struck, then laid down on the ground for several minutes while being attended to by the team's medical staff. He got back up, then took his regular turn in the batting cage.

Bonds, escorted by security, went back into the clubhouse after hitting.

Giants spokesman Matt Hodson said Bonds was deemed to be OK after being examined and was still in the lineup. >>

    Too bad

ESPN just announced Barry will still be in tonight's starting line-up.

Maybe the Babe has lost his touch?

Bonds was heard to say "all I remember was this overweight guy scowling at me and then THWACK!"

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

He's probably tickled pink with his ever-growing cranium now. The extra 4 inches of circumference likely saved him.

Anyone think for a second this wasn't overdone by Bonds looking to play the sympathy card?

How would you like to be the schmuck rookie who drilled the star player on your team?? I see AA in your near future--lol!! All Barry has to say is " get rid of the guy" and **poof**
  • I think the gravitational forces around Bond's oversized head are to blame for this one.

I agree w/Ax (go figure) as I was thinking the same thing.

In recent weeks, Bonds has really tried to present himself in a different manner. It's like the guy at work who is always late, and then starts showing up on time. Still viewed as the guy who is runnin late in my opinion.

Send Reggie Evans to give Barry's junk a good tug tonight, maybe it will keep him out of the lineup.

You've heard what they say about steroid users--Reggie Evans probably couldn't find it to tug on!
